Course Description:
Welcome to German 1502! This is a second semester course for students who have successfully completed GERM 1501, or equivalent. This course is intended to help you develop your reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills with activities both inside and outside of the classroom. This course is communicative in its approach, meaning that instruction is based on the principle that the best way to learn a language is by using it. Therefore,GERM 1502 will be conducted mostly in German. You are expected to listen to the German you hear in class, to try to understand, and to speak German yourself every day! Because this is a course that meets every day of the semester, preparation for class is absolutely essential! Not only will your level of preparation affect your grade, good preparation will help you understand what is going on in class and will help you better participate in German.
